Our Programs
Evidence-informed interventions designed to improve both access to education and quality of learning in under-resourced classrooms.
ACT: Accelerated Classroom Transformation
A structured, classroom-based intervention focused on improving literacy and writing outcomes among Grades 1-6 learners. ACT integrates simple, high-impact instructional practices that are easy for teachers to apply consistently in overcrowded and under-resourced classrooms.
Core Instructional Practices
Talk-Draw-Write Cycle
Learners engage in a structured three-step process: Talk about the topic, Draw their ideas, then Write sentences based on their drawings. This reduces the fear of writing and improves sentence construction.
No Silent Classroom Rule
During literacy lessons, every learner is actively engaged at all times through reading aloud, whisper reading, and peer discussions. This eliminates passive learning and increases practice time.
Sound and Action Game
Teachers link phonics instruction with physical actions. Learners hear a word, act it out, say it aloud, and write it down. This multi-sensory approach strengthens memory retention.
